Hello, recently I have been working on some character concepts for a campaign that I am planning to join and the one that really got me excited was the idea of a Leonin that was reflavored to be a gnoll who had a strong connection to the undead. In their backstory, this gnoll was adopted by a old priest and would learn to take on his responsibilities in helping the dead move on to the afterlife. After many years at the temple, the old priest would past away, leaving my character to go out into the world and help the souls of the dead.
I wanted to play a Ancestral Guardian Barbarian/Twilight Cleric since both classes work well for roleplay purposes and I really like some of the features that both offer for being a tank. The only problem is, how would I build this character?
I would go Barb 6 before the Cleric multiclass. Barb 6 gets you Extra Attack, 4 Rages per day and the Spirit Shield ability to protect your allies. Then I would get at least Cleric 6 (maybe even 8 for another ASI) to get 2 uses of Channel Divinity per rest and the Steps of Night ability before going back to Barb for the rest of the campaign.

Anyone got any advice?
