I just created a level 5 Satyr Twilight Cleric with a Strixhaven background (for better cantrips and a free feat) for a one-shot. Wears chainmail. Was allowed to pick 2 uncommon and one common magic item so chose luck stone, orb of protection from poison/acid, and +1 amulet of divinity. Running him next weekend.
I have a fire genasi cleric named Inej Aliki (Inej was taken from six of crows, Aliki means she who speaks the truth) her backstory is about how she was a healer from the cult of the dragon (first campaign I ever played) who eventually was let out without the death sentence, and went on to heal people who were injured by the cult. She eventually found a group of people who were injured, and went adventuring with them.
Skadhi Snowstoat, unwitting heir to a Mark of Sentinel through her human father, whom she loathes, found refuge in a temple of the Sovereign Host, after losing her dwarven mother. She hears the call of Boldrei, and serves her as a Cleric of Peace.
Just created a chaotic good War Domain cleric, variant human with the War Caster feat. I'm hoping he'll be equal parts chaotic good priest/caster and second-line damage dealer. I've taken a good balance between offensive and defensive spells. Among other things, War Domain gives him (1) advantage on Constitution saving throws that he'll make to maintain your concentration on a spell when he takes damage; (2) and two spells that are always prepared: Divine Favor (+1d4 radiant damage on all attacks for 1 minute) and Shield of Faith (+2 to AC for 10 minutes). War caster allows him to cast in melee and war domain gives him an extra bonus attack (equal to my Wisdom modifier per long rest).
My cleric is a female redhead chubby dwarf named Kathra. She wears a braid and has freckles. By no means graceful or pretty, she irradiates the beauty of a mother. She is a Berronar Truesilver fanatic and ascribes to the domain of Light. She is a great buffer and healer, but can do serious damage if needed. She is lawful good, never loots bodies and gives all her large rewards to her church, keeping only the minimum for stats and to move around comfortably.
I rolled up a Cleric of Life for a new Campaign, never played one before (just brbs). He's now a lvl14 Life cleric. He's a bronze dragonborn follower of Kord, but now has a second patron from my DM's pantheon-. Klaathudra sees his role as the party's keeper of the dumb maneuvers alive guy, and loves to walk into the center of battle. His 1, 2 punch favorite combo is casting Spirit Guardians at 5th or 6th lvl, then wading into enemies with his flaming sword(gift of the new god-only pal or cler can use). If something or someone is at distance, he fries it with Guiding Bolt to soften them up. I have truly enjoyed this character, and really enjoy it when the DM forgets he has a breath weapon(lightning bolt 30ft line). Oh and DANG can he heal a lot of HP in a pinch, minimum of +8 or more! For flavor at 12th lvl, I gave him the feat Gift of the Metallic Dragons-extra cure wnds and protective wings to help me or others, KILLER Ac bonus (+5).
Fairly new to d&d, so my main game is a PbP, and I'm a Twilight Cleric. It's also a homebrew campaign. He's neutral, but can go between chaotic good to chaotic neutral.
I opted for a variant human, as that seems easier for someone new than custom lineage. For all intents and purposes, I'm human. However, I do have a bit of--the closest, but not quite in this realm is shadar kai--shade elf. In this world, they've mostly been erraticated. Also, again, the closest being the Raven Queen, he is a Cleric for her, where it's said her return could bring about the end of the world...or the beginning. I thought the Twilight would lean well into both of those.
For his personal story, he was a part of a party assigned to his rural home town to investigate some human trafficking rings, with a focus on missing children. They were able to rescue the kids, only to find out a judge lawyer, and some other leaders in town, and the neighboring towns are part of the ring. His Sons were taken by the ring, and he was the only survivor of the party, and he was reported as the traitor, claiming that's why he wanted to return, to try and hinder the investigation.
The families and friends know the truth, but are afraid of retaliation. So, he's something of a minor folk hero, but mostly on his own. Some think he may be mad, "talking to spirits," and especially trying to connect to the one who could bring about the world's end...or beginning (I keep thinking of Oolga from Dark Crystal when I type that phrase).
For my cleric, think Disgust from Pixar's Inside Out with the dark and macabre interests of Wednesday Addams. His name is Ellister. He's got strawberry blonde hair, hazel eyes, and freckles. He's got the Feylost background and I home-brewed a Wild Magic subclass for him and he's multi-classed into a Fey Wanderer for the ultimate amount of chaos!
Mine is the stirge lord, a deranged man so ugly that goblins thought he was one of them, who started a summer camp to gain members for his cult, who also sold out some of his campers to gnolls in exchange for robes and stuff. Eventually the camp was shut down and he and his meager cult ran for the hills, with only 4 members who can fight. How he got a Deity of life to sponsor him is beyond even himself.
Elmer Sturdyhand is a Minotaur lvl.3 peace cleric. He honors Sarenrae (Dawnflower) with the skill of his trade as a carpenter as well as with the love of life he bestows to all who are need of aid. Elmer is Lawful Good, no reward is greater to him than being a servant and disciple of Sarenrae (Dawnflower) and being of aid to allies.
In our Eberron campaign I'm playing a Light Cleric Kalashtar who follows the Path of Light. They are hardly religious but believe in discipline, meditation and devotion to achieve peace and enlightment. They're still trying to find a place among their new allies (a Satyr Bard and a Dhampir Wizard) and switch between support and damage. So far it's a lot of fun to play them. :)

Food, Scifi/fantasy, anime, DND 5E and OSR geek.
I am currently playing Sir Tabean Hardcrag. He is an Arcana Cleric dedicated to Paladine and a member of the Order of the Rose.

faragar cleanser of the impure is my light cleric who seeks to free his flaming god to cleanse the material plane in holy fire and start anew.
Wayland Claymore War Cleric, Chosen of Paladine and Knight of the Rose. My best attempt of not optimizing :)
Alaric Silvertide is my Tortle Tempest Domain Cleric.
Skadhi Snowstoat, unwitting heir to a Mark of Sentinel through her human father, whom she loathes, found refuge in a temple of the Sovereign Host, after losing her dwarven mother. She hears the call of Boldrei, and serves her as a Cleric of Peace.

It's my first cleric, feedback welcome.

Started playing AD&D in the late 70s and stopped in the mid-80s. Started immersing myself into 5e in 2023

My life is more interesting inside my mind...
Cool, clear concept. What's her best offensive spell and melee option?
