As an action, you present your holy symbol, and a sphere of twilight emanates from you. The sphere is centered on you, has a 30-foot radius, and is filled with dim light. The sphere moves with you, and it lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated or die. Whenever a creature (including you) ends its turn in the sphere, you can grant that creature one of these benefits.
This is going to be a DM call. The way it is worded leaves room for interpretation.
On the one hand it emanates from the caster, on the other hand the effect states that the area is filled with dim light.
I would play it that solid objects such as walls and doors would prevent the light from passing through but fill open areas and around corners as though you were a light source of magical dim light, diming bright areas, and brightening dark areas.
An Emanation is an area of effect that extends in straight lines from a creature or an object in all directions. Any location blocked by obstruction providing Total Cover such as walls isn’t included in the area of effect.
Area of Effect: If all straight lines extending from the point of origin to a location in the area of effect are blocked, that location isn’t included in the area of effect. To block a line, an obstruction must provide Total Cover.

Hi, i have a Twilight Cleric in my party, and I am looking for some ways to work around his aura…
„The sphere is centered on you, has a 30-foot radius, and is filled with dim light.“
Its not clear for me if the sphere can go through walls? Or over walls, through cracks, around corners and so on?
It is not written like the daylight spell or darkness spell, where the effect „spreads out“.
„A 60-foot-radius sphere of light spreads out from a point you choose within range.“
„Magical darkness spreads from a point you choose within range to fill a 15-foot-radius sphere for the duration. The darkness spreads around corners.“
how would you all interpret this?
Also open for any other tipps and tricks to handle that ability better😊
- thank you!

Thank you, I thing I will do it the same!
