Sorry if this was discussed elsewhere, but can you use wrath of the storm with destructive wrath?
Wrath of the Storm states you can do 2D8 thunder or lightning damage, when you get hit with an attack. Destructive wrath states you maximize your lightning or thunder damage when rolling for damage.
So the does that mean, if you want, you can automatically do maximum damage when you use wrath of the storm, since you're also using your channel Divinity destructive wrath feature with it?
In short, yes. In long: Yes, but it normally isn't the best use for it. Since Destructive Wrath doesn't give any other requirement to use it than "when you deal lightning or thunder damage" you can use it on every instance of damage you deal of that type as long as you have uses of your channel divinity left. You could even use it with a magic weapon that deals thunder or lightning damage.
You absolutely can do it this way. Its not however the most effective use of the ability. If its the last bad fella and you're pretty confident you'll get a short or long rest after go for it. Just keep in mind that maximizing other damage is more "optimal".
But maybe your character takes being attacked very very personally, so you have a rp reason to burn your reaction and your channel divinity, I don't know you
