Ah. Unless the cleric cast a cantrip and not a leveled spell, he can't also cast spare the dying, since casting that as a bonus action requires that his action then be spent on a cantrip or some non-spell option (attack or help). In other words, if he spent his action on a spell, then he cannot cast another spell (even a cantrip) as a bonus action. But otherwise, if the creature is stable at 0hp, then the circle of mortality feature says that the creature gains max HP from from any healing it receives.
