Hey all, my druid has had a bit of an identity crisis with trying to find the right circle since I made him. He's since left his current party and is effectively running solo on the side. He's very combat averse and is EXCEPTIONALLY heavy on the roleplay aspect. He is very calm, peaceful, and caring in nature, and would always rather diffuse a situation as opposed to resort to violence.
The backstory for this character is that he's come from a long line of druids who seek to help man and nature coexist. The example is his hometown in which a thriving trade hub was built in the depths of a swamp. His family helps maintain a balance between the needs of nature and the people living in, coming to, and going from this town. I had started with Circle of the Land for this, but it's often to specific to a certain type of land, and it's generally only tailored to interaction with nature. I've since moved to Circle of the Moon for the protector aspect, but this seems a bit too combat-centric for my needs/wants.
Does anyone have some suggestions that might lend themselves to making a Druid that is right at home around other people and can mix nature with somewhat urban environments?
I would probably suggest Shepherd. The roleplay can be whatever you make it, but mechanically it probably fits the protector aspect you’re going for the best aside from Moon. Unicorn and Bear totem are nice nurturer / guardian support abilities. Plus, summoning creatures to protect your team can probably fit the vibe.
There aren’t really any druid subclasses whose features are based around directly protecting your entire team except Shepherd.
