If I cast a spell while in my original druid form then on my next turn wild shape into a black bear, can I concentrate on that spell and use it for an action/bonus action while in my wild shape form? The spells I'm looking at are heat metal, moonbeam, and possibly flame blade.
Depends on what animal, an ape will be fine with flame blade, a fish might struggle. The other two are fine. Though now I have an image of a ninja squirrel running around with a flame blade. Yoda from another mother.
Lol. That makes me wonder, would the flame blade adjust to the size of the beast who wishes to wield it??? If so, I'm taking your idea of a ninja squirrel and see how much damage I can do to an ecosystem on my next 10 day. 😂
I've heard Call Lightning is popular for this, I think. Cast, then blast away, safely in the form of a critter. Your Yoda Squirrel is now hidden in a small crevice, calling bolts of death down on their enemies!

Does it have a be a hand though? A bears paw is specifically designed to grip a bamboo stick. Am I stretching my imagination to believe a black bear could handle the grip of a flame blade???

That'd be up to your DM to decide how well your wildshape panda bear (not all bears have the "thumb") can wield a flame blade without dropping it.

Being able to hold a stick is not the same as effectively wielding a sword. Also, real world science and D&D rules are only similar in purely superficial manners. By the rules of D&D bears do not have hands, therefor they cannot wield weapons.

Agreed, I would say no to a bear. I don’t think they have the fine control to wield a sword and accurately fight with it. It’s totally different to holding something to eat it. 😀

For Heat Metal and Moonbeam, absolutely. Flame Blade I'm not entirely sure; you'd need to have a hand in order to wield it.
