I play a druid in one of my games. I find it increasingly difficult to deal with my Wild Shape due to the necessity of having to keep different animal stats on hand (or thumb through the PHB to find a creature) every time I want to change form. This got me thinking about the upcoming D&D Beyond Character Sheets. It would be hugely awesome if there was a Wild Shape/Shape Shift/Polymorph panel built into the character sheet that slid out and offered a dynamic list of creatures (based on your druid level / CR rating of the creature) that you could activate and it would immediately pull that creature's stats and display them. In addition to the stats being displayed, a hit point counter could be used to track that form's HP independently of your character's HP. I don't know if there will be an online dice roller built into the sheet, but if there is, it would also be handy to have the selected creature change your dice to match that creature's attack/damage rolls too.
What are your thoughts? Any other wishes regarding the upcoming D&D Character Sheet? (Druid specific or not)
Yeah, the basic gist is to have some sort of panel fly out when a character's form changes so that it's much easier to manage that form's abilities and stats. I love the story moments that changing forms creates, it's just a pain to manage - especially if you try to be creative with each form and tend to use a lot of different beasts.
As another user suggested, it would also be helpful to apply this panel mechanic to companion beasts, familiars, mounts, etc.
I would love something like that! It feels like every time the druid in my campaign wants to transform, we have to go thumbing through the MM. This would make it way easier!
A space for at least one creature would be good, could apply to multiple classes then too. Ranger's beast companion, a wizard or warlock familiar, or Druid wild shape
Yeah I had to type out a "beastiary" to have it more readily available and it still takes time! Having it built in and stream lined would be amazing!!!

I have been using a character sheet PDF I found on the web that incorporates a bestiary. I will continue to use it until that feature is made available in Beyond.
About to start playing my first Druid since 3.0 for our run of Strahd. Have to say I can't agree more that I'm going to want this. Even doing Circle of the Land, keeping up with extra stats is a pain.
This is a link to the DM's guild, "Automatic Character Sheet." This is literally the only character sheet I use now. It has a section for wild shapes, animal companions, and it can even generate a complete sheet of all druid spells for you. It also has Unearthed Arcana support (obviously up to your DM about playing those). The best part? It's free! Unless you want to chip in any amount to help the author.
Is there any way to at least track wild shape HP somehow? Could there be a workaround using something homebrewed? Managing wild shape HP is the only time I need to fetch my pencil and a paper to jot down something, it's annoying. Also, I also recommend "Companions for D&D 5e" by Ryan Stout on Android.
Yeah I use it as temp hit points on the Beyond sheet. but I'm looking for alternatives, I'd ultimately just like to hit a drop down list of beast shapes and have it replace my physical stats and combat information as presented to me on the regular sheet.
Any updates on Wild Shape list with the new sheets that I'm missing?
It is planned. They had to remake the sheets from the ground up (lots of reconstructing under the hood) to best implement this feature among others, so this is a big step towards that upcoming feature. Beyond that, no.

druids don't learn wish
At least filtering for "Beast" in the Monster section of D&D Beyond helps A LOT.
I personally use "Companions for D&D 5e" by Ryan Stout on Android.
It lets you filter by CR, Movement Type, Size, Wild Shape, Ranger, Familars, Polymorph, Elementals, Fey, or Favorites.
So aside from fan-boying about the app, I've always found it a frustrating amount of bookkeeping to be a Druid.
It also has the dinosaurs and underdark creatures like the Fe/Male Steeder (basically a Large Funnel Web Spider).

So then, any progress on this feature? My warlock is feeling very lonely without his familiar.
