So, I'm building a backstory with a Spore Druid Firbolg. He lives in a mushroom-tree home, and I was thinking about how he guards it when he's away for a few days, and I was curious.
What are some Spore Wildlife creatures that you can think of? I know there are mushroom creatures, but any other creatures that are on the negative side of nature.; The poisons, the spores, that kind of thing. Anything that is related to that.
I will bend them into my story, but I would love some of you guys to inform me on what animals there are in this topic.
There are a number of options - if you filter by “plant” (D&D nomenclature is sometimes scientifically problematic) on the monster tab, you will be able to find a number of options at various CRs you could use. Gas Spores and Violet Fungus are both lower-CR items that would work; a Brackish Trudge is a bit bigger if you want something more animalistic. You can also reflavour things like Bodytaker Plants fairly easily.
Additionally, like some real-world fungi, Circle of the Spores Druids have the ability to infect the dead with spores and control their actions. You could use any regular beast and have its fungus-covered corpse be one of the animal guardians.

I like Monks. They're fun.

Vegepygmies
A vegepygmy feels kinship with other plant and fungus creatures
Beyond the good suggestions already made...
Wild Beyond the Witchlight brought us Campestris: https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/1979810-swarm-of-campestris
And while not truly a fungus (it's "rotting vegetation"), if you wanted a higher DC option, I would argue the old school Shambling Mound still fits: https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/17011-shambling-mound
