I've considered making a druid for the circle of the blighted, but I've barely had experience playing a druid, any directions or pairings to go with this subclass?
If you're talking about the Circle of the Blighted from the Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn book, I have been playing one for over a year now and can say it's great fun. Defile Ground is great on all levels since it triggers every turn, so if the whole group is wailing on somone in the area it's quite a bit of damage. The Wildshape improvement was great for the lower levels, being a bit more tanky is great, it falls of quite a bit in medium to high lebvels ofc. but that's just wildshape in general. The 6 is great, too, having that extra body is always a win.
The sole point I'm not happy with is the lack of a bonus spell list. I would have liked a few more necrotic/blight like spells which you just don't get as a druid.
Flavorwise it's just an allout win, I play my druid in a strixhaven campaign and she is just the right mix of creepy and wholesome (she got a whole mutation thing going on).
It has good abilities but the level 14 one seems a little weak. Overall, a good subclass. I personally wouldn't choose it over spores, stars (my favorite), or moon, but it's more likely competition for Shepard. Try it, it's solid.

Someone is using it now in one of my campaigns and he likes it. You just have to watch where you stand around him.
