I'm in a campaign where the level 10 druids are bitten by werewolves. would their immunity to disease protect them from lycanthropy? would this effect their wild shape ability? I tried combing through the books I have and am drawing a blank. Note: both do not want to become lycanthropes. If they are effected, what ideas for curing it.
The statblock for werewolves in 5E says it is a curse, not a disease, so you would be affected even if immune to disease through Circle of land (Nature's Ward). Remove curse is supposed to work on lycanthropy but check with the DM.

A Druid can become a werewolf as Lycanthrope is not a disease but a curse and retains his or her statistics except as specified by lycanthrope type.
What happen to a player character is up to DM. As the rules for Player Character as Lycanthrope say If the character embraces the curse, his or her alignment becomes the one defined for the lycanthrope. The DM is free to decide that a change in alignment places the character under DM control until the curse of lycanthropy is removed.
Lycanthrope: One of the most ancient and feared of all curses, lycanthropy can transform the most civilized humanoid into a ravening beast. Curse of Lycanthropy;A humanoid creature can be afflicted with the curse of lycanthropy after being wounded by a lycanthrope, or if one or both of its parents are lycanthropes. A remove curse spell can rid an afflicted lycanthrope of the curse.
