I just confirmed you can definitely create a wildfire druid. You just have to make sure legacy content is enabled, and when you hit level 3, you can select wildfire on the subclass dropdown list.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
I'd say that's a DM question. When in doubt, I'd use the new version of the spells, but the character builder doesn't seem to universally auto update things you'd expect it to. For example, creating a yuan-ti gives the old version of poison spray rather than the new one. Not sure if that's a bug or a feature.

I noticed that in several of the creatures that aren't in the new PHB. They have legacy spells if they had any spells. It's kind of annoying sometimes haha.

I have a collection of Elven and Fey Druid Characters that I play. Some creepy and some not so creepy, but all FUN!
If playing 2024 rules, always use the 2024 replacement spells. Generally, they are better anyway.
Of course, except when you pick a non 2024 species with spells, DNDBeyond puts the legacy in your spell list so you have to make sure to have the new versions written down to reference.

can you still use the wildfire druid with the 2024 rules. so with all the books that came out before the new players handbook are out dated then
You can definitely use it, yes. The book is backwards compatible.

Yes, indeed. I think I'm going to play a Warden Wildfire druid.
Started playing AD&D in the late 70s and stopped in the mid-80s. Started immersing myself into 5e in 2023
so do i use the new spells or the old spells given in this subclass
