I am in the middle of worldbuilding (who isn't). In my setting there is a widespread confederation of druids that help bless all the land using Plant Growth Rituals. In exchange for doing this, the King grants the druids their own land, which they turn into idealic forests and they live there with their families in peace.
In anticipation of my players wanting to visit one of these communities, I would like to hear about any interesting Druid NPCs you have encountered. You can share as little or as much detail as you wish. I'm just looking for some inspiration so I can have two or three in my notes for the time the situation comes up.
For your information, it takes between 27 - 38 druids to make one of these communities. A vast majority of the druids in these communities is level 5 or higher. This is necessary for them to cast Plant Growth. They have the whole family in a little Hamlet inside the forest, so the whole community is 120 - 180 people. About 8 of the families are not druids, but invited because they have a skill, like blacksmithing, that the community would derive benefit. The woodland community is about 4 hours walk from a village where 2000-ish people live. The village can provide things the druids can't make themselves. So if they needed furniture, clothing, the help of a stone mason or two, they could arrange for that in the village. The druids usually form a bond with the village and will come to their aid.
