Hi I am in the middle of a campaign with my wife who is playing as a tempest domain cleric, I currently am a Lvl 5 ranger going to multiclass into druid and wanted sugestions as to fit the storm theme.
Well, none of the druids are particularly stormy. The circle of land is probably the closest fit. Most of the weather based circle spells are already druid spells. The only exception was lightning bolt from mountain, but the rest of the spells were mostly rock based. I actually recommend Arctic or grassland for more on theme spells.
But since so many weather spells are druid spell, any subclass can work.
I agree. Artic spells are largely winter storm themed. Mountain seems like the most lightning storm themed but only because of lightning bolt and had the most on common with tempest cleric.
Again, most of the wind based spells are just base druid spells that no particular circle specializes in. I still recommend circle of land because they get an extra cantrip and can recover spell slots, so more casting.
Sorry for the misconception, I was not denying that circle of the land was the best for this type of build and my friend agrees. they were just giving tips as how to make it feel more stormy as for which one i would probably go with, it would mostlikely be grassland to complement the ranger features.
Take the Druidcraft cantrip and come up with cool descriptions of your lightning and thunder spellcasting and spell effects. Maybe get a hat that resembles Thor's helment. Make lots of puns using the words "wind" or "gale" or "rain".

My friend had suggested to me to use more wind based spells since my wife had a lot of lightning/ water based abilities
