Separate but same thought process - if you turn into a cow and you're milked and someone drinks that milk, does that actually sustain them or does it disappear out of their stomach when WS expires? Same with a giant spider's web - if you spin a web, does it survive after WS expires?
i'd allow all of those scenarios, but agree with some kind of expiration on venom, or go with a limit on production (aside from combat strikes, you can only produce one vial's worth per XX many days....or maybe a combination of both...say maybe you can create one vial per WS and each survives for a day before being neutralized.
Real snakes take a couple days to a couple weeks to create venom for what that's worth.
If my character turned into a goat, could the milk be churned to produce cheese? Spiders/Snakes = Different Types of Venom for poison to be used on arrows, spikes, caltrops, whatever? Sheep = Could wool be sheered to be used to make clothing or things for harsh weather climates? Octopus = Could the black ink cloud stuff be harvested and used for other things?
I'm trying to push myself, as a player, and my character on practical uses for all sorts of things (cantrips, basic equipment, supplies, whatever). The Druid I am running is like a "Bear Gryss" survivalist type. Lives off the land. Heals the party, but participates in combat by knocking foes prone, creating terrain nightmares, making interesting traps. Just because he doesn't have the ability to be a tank for the party, doesn't mean he can't create scenarios to give the party advantage on melee rounds (ie. mastiff knocking fools prone).
The focus is on Mold Earth & Shape Water to create terrain difficulty, using Cantrips to cause party Advantage, Spikes & Caltrops for indoor/outdoor scenarios, building traps, etc. The campaign is a jungle setting and I'm re-creating Good Morning Vietnam, Platoon and whatever else comes to mind. Hoping to add flavor to the combat a bit, while the others hack and slash. Keep it interesting.

I'm new to playing a Druid and had a question about Wild Shape.
If I were to morph into a snake, could I make venom and put it in a vial to be used later?
Does it disappear when Wild Shape goes away or is it a by-product that could be usable at a later time?
I was thinking it might be a way to get poison or something to put some stank on my arrows?
This is probably too far-fetched, but I thought I would ask here. Lots of really good feedback and ideas on other topics.
If a player in my campaign tried that I’d let them save one dose of poison an hour that way. I think that it’s a great idea!
