I have a lvl 3 fighter. I chose great weapon fighting ass my fighting style, but for whatever reason it shows that I have two-weapon fighting instead. I was wondering if there was an explanation for this or a way around this. I will likely try to make a replicated sheet from scratch so as to not worry about the error happening if I do copy it, but still, any help with this matter is greatly appreciated
You are probably looking at your "Actions" tab on the character sheet. As DxJxC mentioned, every character has the "Two-Weapon Fighting" ability.
Your actual "Great Weapon Fighting" style is displayed on the "Features & Traits" tab.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.

Wizards didn't do a great job differentiating the various aspects of fighting with two weapons. Anyone can do it if they obey the rules for it. The "Two-Weapon Fighting" fighting style makes your bonus action attack do a bit more damage, and the Dual Wielder feat removes the restriction of using Light weapons, as well as gives you a small AC buff. But they're all named so similarly that people get them mixed up.
The style and the feat complement really well. The style allows your offhand bonus attack to scale with ur attacking stat, the feat allows you to draw 2 weapons at once, provides +1 ac while dual wielding and lets you dual wield d8 weapons instead d6/d4.
The feat and the style also count when throwing weapons while dual wielding, so yes it also kind of helps with short/medium ranged attacking.

Every character can fight with 2 weapons regardless of fighting style, so the two weapon fighting bonus action is on every character sheet.
I wish the action and fighting style had different names so new players would stop getting confused by it.

Does that combination, 2-weapon fighting style and the 2-weapon fighting feat, play well? Can anything be done to help it with ranged attacks?
