If you haven’t pulled the trigger (heyo!) on this multiclass yet, I highly recommend it. I’ve tried it and loved it. Mine was a variant human, Fighter 6/ cleric 1. Fighter for the first 5 levels, then cleric, then back to fighter.
+1 magic pistol, bless, archery fighting style, deadeye shot, sharpshooter, and action surge collectively mean that you can consistently hit your targets at whatever the range, and in so doing vomit out a shedload of damage in very short order. Toss in luck for an extra dose of “I hate your face and think it’d look better with holes in it”. 4d10 + (4*Dex mod) + 44 damage nova at this level is no joke. (Come at me paladin. See who wins when you can be out nova’d from a distance.) It’s magic too, so it’ll go far in tending to pesky foes with resistance to non magic damage.
Kinda one dimensional in combat and weak to large numbers, but utterly devastating to most foes. Kinda sucks if a succubus charms you and gets you to start murdering your party, but I digress... Funny thing I ran into is that I often failed to secure the kill with this character. Did damage like it was going out of style, but other party members (darn that monk) tended to finish the job.
I just added some "likes" but, I have to say this really sounds fun. I would probably build one like Constantine(movie character) that is heavily involved in fighting supernatural threats. Any number of animes have thematic characters that match up with this character concept as well.

I did, but the DM is traveling soon to work in a foreign country thus probably ending my opportunity to play this unfortunately. Glad to hear that numbers are piling up for this build!

I went with a Ghostwise halfling to avoid Nat 1's making it even easier to deal with missfires but alas, as i said to my other friend here. My DM is traveling soon and might not be able to play it. Though the Constantine idea intrigues me since i LOVE Constantine. But i went with semi, bloodborne type of character but it's close enough i guess.

Haven’t seen Constantine, but I also kinda worked the ‘warrior for god’ shtick myself. Kinda a a fallen brother type that wasn’t really welcome at the temple anymore, but was still - more or less - trying to be a good man that wanted to do the right thing even if he really didn’t know how. (Or at least as good a man as a bounty hunter that kills people for money can be.)
i know this sounds noobish. But what do you mean by Nova?
Not at all! It's a term used to describe a tactic that deals a lot of damage in a single turn.

Currently building this as someone relatively new to DnD. Went with a Wood Elf for the Dex/Wis boost, and for extra Rambo points with Mask of the Wild. Level 6 with an even 3/3 split between classes, rolls are 16, 20, 17, 13, 19, 11.

I was wondering if it's a good idea to mix these two together, converting guns to magic and possibly make my own bullets from blessing of the forge.
Currently these are my rolls 9,15,15,16,13,10 and i am at level 5 (Curse of strahd).
Edit: Using a magical bow or in this a gun with non magical arrows/bullets how does this work exactly? Is my damage magical or not?

Ths sounds like a good multiclass. With those stats you ciuld easily have an 18 DEX and 16 WIS.
Magic weapons bestow their magic to their ammo until after hit or miss.
Sounds like a good idea! Very good synergy character wise
