Another thought to try out: if your Bard ever takes Magic Initiate, you might ask them to take Mold Earth as one of their cantrips. It's a high utility cantrip that allows you to shape the environment so long as you are around loose earth. IOW, your Bard can create shade for you to fight in or create environments with lots of shade and then you can lure your opponents into it.
My DM has started incorporating more cloud cover and overcast weather in order to balance encounters.
I’d started to hide, perform healing or utility tasks during combat which made pre planning very difficult for him. It had become a running joke as to if the glass cannon of the monk would turn up or not.
So in order to balance encounters more easily and to ensure I participate in the fight he’s stopped giving me disadvantage so often.
I can also relate as to be started DMing a campaign myself how frustrating it is for a player at the table to effectively nope out of an encounter entirely.

Ummm, please don't assume that I'm a guy.

Fair point I should not have assumed your gender.
