Hey i got a magic item which gives me advantage against saving throws of two schools of magic which i can choose from (except evocation). Which 2 schools should i choose?
I would probably go Enchantment and Illusion but might take Divination instead of Illusion if I had concerns of being magically spied on etc.. Although, now that I think about it, I might want Necromancy to help ward off necrotic effects.
Agree with enchantment but not convinced about illusion, a lot of illusion spells require an investigation check so the item won't help you, those that do require saves it is nearly always wis which you should be good at anyway.
Necromancy and conjugation are better alternatives. Conjugation is possibly better at lower levels, a spell likeensnaring strike can prevent a monk doing pretty much anything and being a strength save you might struggle to shake it off. I think I would go with necrotic necrotic however, there are a few spells that the item will help against at low levels such as toll the dead and blindness/deafness and at higher levels things like harm and finger of death can really hurt.
If the campaign 8s built around a bad guy spying on you divination is an option, but after a few failures they are likely to target another party member so usually with divination the whole party needs to be protected.

Evocation or Enchantment, getting hit by spells is common, and you definitely don't want to become charmed.
I can't choose evocation tho (sorry if I didn't tell it clear enough)

But definitely Enchantment.
