Guidance is always a good choice as one of the cantrips and either sacred flame or till the dead for a ranged option could be nice.
Shield of faith and bless are also good choices for 1st level spell. They are concentration so you risk losing concentration when in melee. Command can be handy. And either cure wounds or healing word would fit the mercy monk theme.

Yeah, on the cantrip I'll go with guidance and sacred flame (due to radiant).
For 1st level I'm in a dilemma between shield of faith (more ac to concentrate on guidance), bless (same guidance but for all) or maybe healing word (I'm the only healer) but once isn't much and I can use hand of healing/potions instead.
i suggest taking healing word if you're the only "dedicated" healer in the party. most parties are a bit versatile in melee and ranged classes, if one of the ranged classes go down you will ALWAYS have a way to get them back up in a pinch. safe the melee heals for the others.

Shield of Faith is also concentration so if you cast that you will drop Guidance. But Guidance isn't really used on in-combat abilities anyways. And if you're in melee, like monks usually are, then that extra 2ac can come in handy.
Bless is always helpful.
Healing Word I wouldn't bother with. You shouldn't think of yourself as "the only healer" since your companions can also purchase and use health potions. And anyone can pick up the Healer feat which allows you to restore hit points with a Healer's Kit.
You may also be interested in Detect Poison and Disease but that's not going to be more situational than Shield of Faith or Bless.
My DM gave me (way of mercy) a free feat, magic initiate of the cleric class. What spells should I take?
Btw, I already have crusher and fey touched (gift of alacrity), and my party contains a scribes wizard and arcane trickster rogue.

I think one of the best low level spells that any spell caster should have is guided missile.
Just a grung lover
There is no Guided Missle spell in 5e. Are you referring to Guiding Bolt?
