Or, my Monk character, wants to go into the armory and choose a new weapon. But he is unsure, what is his style. I would remember reading Dragon articles that would show pictures of various weapons, along with their stats. Now I could read all 300 plus magazines, plus the Oriental Adventures book, plus all the other books, that should be fun. However, is there one website or something that has them all I can go through, even the most esoteric ones?
I’m not sure if I understand the question. In terms of game mechanics for 5.x the list of available weapons is fairly short, you can just check out the PHB. Are you looking for ideas for a re-skin? Like daggers become sai or kukri? Is that what you mean? If that’s the case, it’s going to depend on the culture your character comes from, or maybe the culture of a place they’ve moved to, or who taught them.
I’m looking, as I stated, for a new weapon for my Monk character. I’m asking if there is a Wiki or something similar that has a repository of all various weapons that have flowed through various forums, such as the original Dragon magazine, the books, or other types of media. That way I can just skim through pictures and stats, see if anything fits the personality of my character. So for example I’m looking at the Oriental Adventures book, it has pictures, stats, descriptions. I’ve read the Dragon magazine, on occasion when talking about the Monk class, they would show pictures, stats, descriptions. I am asking that at some point someone crunched all that data and put it into a handy website that I can look through. I’ve been to websites that list all the magic spells, which include other books such as Tasha’s, Acquisitions, Xanathar’s, etc. I’m looking for something similar with weapons.
Ultimately this weapon has to be approved by your DM.
You sound as if you have already gone through everything. If you go though old books and magazines and look though the latest PHB. What would a "wiki" type list give you that you have not already seen?
The weapons available are listed the the PHB. AFAIK, there might be one or two more from setting books, but they haven’t really expanded the weapons list much beyond the PHB. A hoopak from dragonlance comes to mind, and there might be 1 or 2 others, but any of those will be from 14, so probably not relevant.
So, by RAW, you have simple melee weapons and martial melee weapons with the light property (‘24 version). The list is a little different from 14, and of course if you are going to be a 14 kensai that changes the equation. Things that appeared in a book like oriental adventures are not relevant in this edition. Unless, as I’d asked, you are using them as inspiration for a re-skin of one of the weapons already on the list. And even if you are, you’d need more detail. Assuming you are going for the generic Asian-inspired monk, there will still be differences since Asia is not a monoculture. Weapons that may be appropriate to a Japanese themed warrior may or may not be appropriate to one from China, Korea, Thailand, etc.
I haven’t gone through books and magazines, I’m asking if there is a Wiki, a website, or other central location I can go to, with pictures, stats and descriptions so I can go through. That way I don’t have to go through 300 plus magazines and books,
I haven't found the weapons, that's my point.I never said the >I< had the list of information. Only that my Monk character is going into the Repository. Into the store. Into the armory. I am asking for a website that I can go to so I can look them up. I am asking this forum for a site of all weapons, so I can choose a new weapon. I've tried a Google search, all it does it give pictures of groupings of weapons that was lifted from Oriental Adventures. That way in the game my character can hold up with pride the needle-nose pliers of tickling +3 and doth proclaim it is the shiniest in all the land.
Let's try this a different way. If I were to look for a magic item, is there a website that, over the years and different books and modules someone made a list with the capabilities? Instead of reading Tasha's, instead of going through Ravenloft, instead of borrowing Acquisitions Inc., not to mention going the 1976 through 2008 editions, all 365 issues of Dragon magazine, perhaps an official web page or a fan made web page exists? The same question, I have asked several ways now, only with weapons that I can choose for my Monk character.
Are we now completely clear on this? I do not have the weapon in mind. I am asking for a compilation web site I can go to. I have been clear from the start, I have been asking the same question. It is not a hard, difficult, obscure, incomprehensible, ambiguous, subtle, opaque, hidden, blurry, foggy, murky, complicated, shrouded, or round-about.
If none exists, then that is the answer. Being obtuse is not an answer. So. Is there. A website. That I may go to. That has weapons. At this point I don't care if it's exclusive to Monks. Just a compilation of weapons. Maybe standard that yes you can find in the PHB, but on towards the obscure that might in in a first edition of a module. I'll take everything. I gave the Oriental Adventures as an example, but I am not looking exclusively there. The OA gave good ideas such as Shaken, Sai, even Chopsticks as a weapon. Also gave the standard sword, spear, dagger, etc. that you would see in the PHB.
Your search via old books et. al. is much more exhaustive then the only website. That is what the both of us have stated, there is none but the link I just gave you.
I think the confusion is that anything pre-2014 doesn’t count. You can’t use any of them in a 5e game (without DM permission, but at that point it’s essentially homebrew). You keep bringing up equipment from earlier editions, but those don’t matter. They have stats that are incompatible with 5e: game mechanics do not work across different editions. That’s why I ask if you are looking for ideas for a re-skin. In 5e, it’s understood that you might use the stats for, say, a dagger, but decide it looks like any number of other things, from a stiletto to a butcher knife to a sai. In an earlier edition, each of those might have its own statistics, but they no longer do. So the only way the older sources would be relevant is if you are looking for an idea to describe the weapons from the PHB.
And now, for the first time, you’ve brought up magic items. That’s a bit different. The best source would also be here, in the magic items section. However, you won’t be able to see them in detail unless you own the book the item is in, or it’s shared with you.

I do think the OP is looking for a central list of weapons from all the editions including magazines and supplements, which I don’t think there is.
And you are correct that they would not translate to 5E stats. But it could be a jumping off point for homebrew, which I think you mentioned as well. But might give the DM some info to work off of to homebrew it.

There’s nothing what you are looking for. Like mentioned (1 stop shop complied - ie wiki page). You would have to do the leg work and go through previous published materials and then work with your DM to be able to use it .
or like mentioned you can take a weapon currently listed in the PHB - example darts but want to use throwing stars, the stats stay the same (reskinned homebrew) which would then have to allowed by your DM.
but to basically ask you is there Complied site for weapons (NO). Maybe a project you can venture into. So be happy goggling or reading through published literature is your only option.

I am asking if there is a website that lists weapons. I am not asking for a suggestion on weapons.
But if you found all of the weapons why do you need a website? You found the weapons.
Thank you for putting it this way, yes.
The list in the PHB is all the weapons available in this edition. So, I guess this is the website.
I haven't found the weapons, that's my point.I never said the >I< had the list of information. Only that my Monk character is going into the Repository. Into the store. Into the armory. I believe Xalthu and I are not being obtuse because the only website is here:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/br-2024/equipment#Weapons
Your search via old books et. al. is much more exhaustive then the only website. That is what the both of us have stated, there is none but the link I just gave you.
Fine that is the answer to my clear and precise question.
