Hey everyone, quick question. I have been workshopping a build idea in my head, 4 levels of Battle Master Fighter, then 6 levels of Kensei Monk.
If I activate Agile Parry (perform an attack with monk weapon, followed by unarmed strike to activate Agile Parry) on my turn within a round of combat, if another creature targets and attacks me, whilst my character under the effect of Agile Parry, they miss, I can then take a reaction and spend a superiority dice to respond with a Riposte if I land a hit, then add my superiority dice to damage.
Yes, this is allowed, and it works as you describe it. You could also add on using your bonus action to use Patient Defense to make that attack against you also have Disadvantage if you so choose, though that may or may not be optimal for all situations (would be a cool move against a tough opponent when you are low on hit points).

Thank you in advance.

Ah never thought of that, thank you!
