So I have a character I'm building that I am enjoying a lot more than i thought i would.. Rolled really well for stats Str 10, Dex 17, Con 12, Int 16, Wis, 16 Chr 10.so he is a Human(Variant) with dex and wisdom being his stat bumps, language still up in the depending on campaign, skill is Perception and the feat is Prodigy with another language. probably undercommon, with insight as the skill option and expertise. and then the tool is Tinker tools. Background being Faction Agent (Zhentarim) First three levels are Rogue choosing the Inquisitive subclass. The idea is as a child, being a prodigy and all is really good at reading people and observing his surroundings. His Father is either the head or someone important within the Zhentarim Faction. and as a child is sent to a monastery to train as a way of shadow. Starting level is 7. so i've got 3 levels in rogue and 4 in monk. prof in Acrobatics, Athletics, History, Investigation, and Sleight of Hand, And expertise in Stealth, Perception, And Insight(Prodigy Feat). With the 4th level in Monk i chose the Observant Feat. So at lvl 7 i have passives senses being 25, 21, 20. So almost nothing gets passed me. I would like to go monk the rest of the way but wondering if i should go ahead and grab the 4th lvl in rogue to pick up another feat. Total for stats after race bumps and feats is Str 10, Dex 18, Con 12, Int 16, Wis 18, Chr 10. Guess Im just looking for opinions at this point. I can also post the backstory should you be interested . For got to mentionafor some flair. being that unarmed attacks dont get sneak attack. being proficient with tinker tools ive made a hidden blade device like the one from assassins creed. the idea being to activate the blade when i hit someone in order to get sneak attack damage
I can't think of a good reason to not go to level 4 if you've already gone as far as 3 in a class. Surely you'd want to get the feat or ability score increases.
