Hello folks, I am creating a character out of a concept I came up with, with some friends. The character is acting as a traveling healer. He pretends to be a cleric to heal people, but in reality is a member of a formerly very powerful protective order created to defend all that is good, focusing on using their relation ship with the divine, and their own bodies to perform their tasks. The idea is that he starts with a few levels in the "for appearances" class and then begins to take levels in Monk when he becomes more serious and his rudimentary divine powers are no longer enough to perform the deeds necessary and his former focus on body and mind needs to take over. Going Aasimar (protector or Variant) for the lore. I was thinking something along the lines of ~4 levels in Warlock: Celestial gaining cure wounds , lesser restoration and a few flavored buff spells and abilities that most will eventually fall away from having a major role. Then finishing out in Monk Way of Mercy. I also was looking at doing the same with Cleric, there is a lot more versatility early on in that selection but the flavor of a divine body and soul, kind of seems to get lost. The badassery of just shedding the armor and being even more dangerous would just be awesome though.
The monk class is made for level dip. It's the most cheesiest , unfitting , illogical contraption ever put into D&D.
If I can remember, check what the main level gains at level 17 and see if you can't live without it. From what I recall , go 17 levels with one class to gain near max level abilities, etc.
Anyhow, I do grant it's fun to add mutant powers to your build for convenience sake, cheers.

Suggestions?
Thanks for any input!
