Starting CoS this sunday. I have decided on a half-orc paladin (sword and board) and rolled for amazing stats. The DM allowed on free feat at level one. I grabbed shield master.I usually play vengeance paladins. But, I am looking for a different play style this go around. This party could go to level 10-15 depending on what we accomplish. I have been debating when/what feats to take and when to take them. The party is very well rounded as it has plenty of damage and healing. I will be more of a support with shield master and bless.
I was thinking of taking warcaster at 4 then resilient con at the last skill increase level 8.
Does any one have any builds they would like to share for CoS?
A few thoughts, but you seem to know what you are doing so maybe not really needed.
Devotion paladin would be really good in Strahd, with the Turn Unholy and Aura of Devotion (anti-charm). You already know this, thus your choice of subclass.
I'm not in love with the Shield Master feat. If your DM allows you to make one attack, then the bonus action shield shove, then the other attack, it's better than if you go by what Jeremy Crawford has said in the past about it. Crawford has said it's both attacks, then the shield shove. If you can't generate advantage for your second attack, by shoving the creature prone, I think Shield Master loses much of its luster. I would probably go with War Caster or Resilient (Con), before Shield Master. Also, do you really need both? Seems like overkill, but yes, your chances of losing concentration would go down considerably. I would consider an ASI, somewhere in there and likely take the ASI ahead of Shield Master. But then I am used to a Point Buy system for stats, which means I end up min-maxing more than most of the people who roll for stats. So maybe I'm just not used to having good stats across the board.
Whatever the case, I wish you many crits and much smiting of evil. :)
I would do Resilent Con. You wouldnt really need warcaster on a Paladin with it's high saves. With only a 15 in Con with Res (con) you are looking at a +10 save.
Personally I would go
Res Con
Tough
ASI
I pretty much also solely play Devotion Paladins. You only need a 15 Str. Your high stat should be Charisma. Followed by STR for heavy armor and Con than Wisdom. I use both DeX and Int as dump stats.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, I really got some amazing stats. I took shield master at level one since Dm is allowing it. I really want the advantages of it and it fits backstory. I'm not really worried about ASI because my stats are already pretty high. But, it is something I will think about. It seems like the sentiment is Resilent Con is better.

Hmmm you suggest tough? I would have to take it at level 4. Shield master is already my chosen feat and I cannot change it. My stats are pretty high for level one which is why I was mostly concerned with a feat based build to provide support. I'm not looking to be an HP tank, more so a support with the aura and supplemental martial damage to the fighter/ranger vs undead.
Resilent con is something I am strongly considering over warcaster.
Yes I always recommend tough being a Paladin. The reason being is that Paladins generally end up being that threat on the battlefield that having the additional HP is very beneficial. A Paladin will always out survive a fighter as a tank and always deal more damage faster with smites. I've a pretty powerful Paladin that the DM constantly tries to kill because he knows as long as my Paladin is on the field trying to take out the rest of the party is very hard to do.
Mind you I am not one that ever advocates for a STR past 15 on a Paladin. Its unnecessary, the ASI is better used in Charisma or on feats, and Devotion Paladins with Sacred Weapon can easily make up the difference.
If you rolled as well as you said your DM is going to realise this pretty fast. I would get Res Con before tough though. It will be far more beneficial keeping Shield of Faith and other spells up in combat. I myself generally play an Scourge Aasimar Oath of Devotion Paladin/War Cleric. Yes it is very MAD but is also very very powerful even using point buy.
