In 5th edition you can pretty much pick any paladin oath you like, as none is tied to a specific deity anymore (you don't even need to worship a deity if you don't want to). However, some oaths will make more sense than others; I would probably recommend oath of glory, or oath of the open sea if your DM allows Critical Role content. Devotion might also be appropriate?
You can also potentially justify others, like redemption (second chances) or vengeance if you're looking for luck in chasing down a particular foe etc.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
