Gday. I have an idea for an oath called Oath of the Road (with help of Reddit). A Paladin who has vowed to travel the world righting wrongs and helping where he can. In saying this, I cant wrap my head around creating a subclass on this site or at all really and could use some help. If anybody is up for a challenge, I would be very appreciative.
I know it’s not helpful advice, but it seems like this could apply to any paladin. I’m not sure how or why you would want to separate it out mechanically. Nevertheless, good luck!

You have left a very blank slate thus far. Do you have any ability or skills in mind? Just a name does little to define what you are trying to do. In a sense all Paladins are out to right wrongs (many other classes as well). Please provide just a little more of a start and I would be happy to help you.
I dont really have any particular skills in mind. See i like the paladins except for the part where they are so godly and there abilities are based around that. Im just wanting it to be based around the find steed spell i guess.
If you want to base it around your steed, then maybe your oath abilities are similar to the ranger's beastmaster where your abilities go into buffing the steed. Thing is that, with the new spells from Xanathar's, you get find greater steed at level 13 (4th level spell) so I don't know how helpful that would be.

There’s a voice that keeps on calling me Down the road is where I’ll always be
Every stop I make, I’ll make a new friend Can’t stay for long, just turn around and I’m gone again.
Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want to settle down, Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.
Maybe Tomorrow – Terry Bush
The Oath of the Road is sworn by those that are only beholden to their own ideals and wander the lands seeking adventure. They are not sworn to a particular lord or nation and therefore they travel seeking employment as bodyguards, soldiers, or doing other dangerous work. Those who swear the Oath of the Road are sometimes referred to as Knights-Errant or by the more derogatory term hedge knights. What separates them from common sellswords is the oath they swear.
TENETS OF THE ROAD
The actual tenets sworn are as individual as the paladins themselves but are generally close to the following.
Conscience. You've been to many lands and the laws are as different as the people living in them. You need to follow your own conscience first and foremost.
Daring. Follow the road less traveled. Where others fear to tread there is the promise of great adventure.
Rectification. Try to leave every place you visit better than you found it.
Vigilance. Avoid complacency. If you have completed your job it is time to move on.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Seeker. You can use your Channel Divinity to help you track down monstrous creatures. As an action you can grant yourself advantage on Survival checks to track fey, fiends, monstrosities, and undead. You retain this benefit until you take a short or long rest.
Swift Strike. You can use your Channel Divinity to strike as swift as the wind. As a bonus action you can make one melee weapon attack.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
Starting at 7th level, you emanate an aura of swiftness. Whether mounted or on foot, your travel pace is doubled, as is the travel pace of up to ten companions while they’re within 60 feet of you and you’re not incapacitated (see “Adventuring,” for rules on travel pace).
Improved Steed
Starting at 7th level, when you summon a steed through the Find Steed or Find Greater Steed spells it gains the following benefits:
Its current and maximum hit points are increased by a number equal to your paladin level.
Its armor class is increased by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus.
It uses your proficiency bonus instead of its own.
Evasive Maneuvers
Beginning at 15th level, you have advantage on Dexterity saving throws. You lose this benefit if you are incapacitated or if your speed is reduced to zero.
While you are benefiting from this feature and are mounted, your steed also gains this benefit. It loses this benefit if it is incapacitated or if its' speed is reduced to zero.
Champion of Wanderlust
At 20th level you can become an avatar of adventure, freedom, and travel. As an action you can enter this state. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
As a bonus action you can make one melee weapon attack.
Your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks. While mounted your steed also gains this benefit.
You gain resistance to acid, cold, fire, lightning and thunder damage. While mounted your steed also gains this benefit.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
This is my first attempt at a homebrew subclass if anyone has feedback I would love to hear it.
I switched up the Level 15 Evasive Maneuvers ability. I changed it so that it didn't overlap with the Mounted Combatant feat, and also to adjust the power level of the feature slightly down to be more inline with other Level 15 Paladin abilities. Also made a couple wording fixes.

You can certainly try.

Ok, give me a few days
I took a stab at this and created a full version 1.0 of the Oath of the Road subclass. Are there any rules against posting it here?
That's great, thanks.
You can certainly try.
