I'm a Lv2 half orc paladin who worships Gruumsh and will probably take the Oath of Conquest and I was wondering if there is any path for paladins to do more mischievous acts in honour of their god. I know about the ritual to remove one eye for Gruumsh and the possibility of home brewing it into a feat, but wanted to do something which affects the world more consequentially. An idea i had was to somehow impose the mark of Gruumsh onto a non orc in order to make them subservient to him -perhaps through a ritual? As a paladin of conquest i thought it would be fitting to force religion rather than preach it's goodness... stuff. I doubt there are any spells that allow for that without also home brewing but does anybody know about any legal spells which may act similarly & a way for a paladin to access them? Would i have to multiclass? Sorry if the post is aimless, i don't have a sense of how far spells outside a paladin's initial ones go.
The closest to what you're looking for is the 5th level spell 'Geas', which charms a target that fails their save and causes them to comply with a task you set or take damage each time they act against that task. It can't force a creature to act against their religion or alignment, but can punish them for failing to comply with a task that would require them to do so.
Paladins do get the spell, but by default it only lasts for 30 days. Longer durations require upcasting, which single classed paladins can't do on their own since their spell slots cap out at 5th level.

I'll keep this in mind. It sounds like a long term version of command.
