I am running a level 8 phantom rogue in a campaign. In return for something happening in game, the DM has said that we can make a list of 4 uncommon or rare magic items, and our reward will come from a d4 roll off that list.
If you had the chance to put together a list of 4 items like this, what would be on your list? For background on my character, I have acquired a +1 short sword, a +1 studded leather, and a ring of evasion so far over the campaign.
Yes it requires attunement. But you don't actually have to physically be holding it and using it for it's benefit. And a 30 foot blindsight could potentially help in all kinds of ways.
The cloak of displacement is one I had been thinking of before, and I think it'll make the list. I also like the cloak of the bat as an alternative - the advantage to stealth works well with the character, and flying in some situations would provide a neat new ability for my character (plus turning into a bat for blindsight and scouting).
Beyond those, the dagger of blindsight seems interesting for when it would be useful, although I'm not sure how often it would get used. I also have been looking at the periapt of proof against poison because I try to dabble in poisons and harvesting poisons from monsters when possible, and poison damage seems to come up enough that it could be useful.
The other ideas all seem interesting and flavorful too. I'm up for other ideas if people have them.
Blindsight is one of those abilities that you can't be sure of the exact mileage you get out of it until you use it. So it's understandable if your iffy on it and think other abilities might be easier to add to the list from more familiarity into how they fit in.

Hi, these are my picks. You have weapon, stealth, movement and utility
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/cloak-of-the-bat
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/dagger-of-venom
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/bag-of-holding
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/boots-of-elvenkind
Some other options:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/gloves-of-thievery
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/amulet-of-health
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/periapt-of-wound-closure
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/rope-of-entanglement
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/slippers-of-spider-climbing
I think these are some great items I as my own swashbuckler I had 3 of these, gloves, amulet and slippers.
But I also had the cloak of displacement(disadvantage to all attacks rolls against you) https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/cloak-of-displacement, this saved my swashbuckler so many times and just frustrated the DM so much.
I'd make somewhat of an argument for Dagger of Blindsight - Magic Items - D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com)

Thanks! These are all great ideas.

On top of the others suggestions, I would recommend https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/winged-boots.
The main reason if who cannot benefit from having a flying speed. And it can also combo with your level 13 feature Ghost Walk.
