My rogue's party is currently doing a heist to steal a bunch of magical artifacts from a tower before they fall into the hands of some very bad people. Most notably a very bad book filled with dark corrupting magic. Will have to wait for next session to see if we pull it off though. If we do, then I can basically say 'the necronomicon' lol.
She doesn't often actually steal things during the campaign though. In her backstory she was a thief, but she stole to survive. She doesn't really have kleptomania tendencies, especially because she ended up as the party leader and tries not to do things that will get the party into trouble if she screws up unless there's a very good reason. So she doesn't go around picking pockets etc. A lot of the roguey stuff she does when on her own is more about gathering information.
She has no qualms with picking up things along the way when say in an enemy's lair but that falls more in line with general party loot than stealing. She's tried to steal from some particuarly bad people outside of just looting them after the fact a couple of times, but the first time got a bad roll and the second time the roll wasn't so bad but the DC was higher because she was trying to steal something from Titania mid fight. Long story on that.
The heist went off well and now my rogue, along with the rest of the party who helped i guess, stole the necronomicon and a bunch of other stuff from a tower. The most fun of which was an edible spellbook homebrew thing and a luxon beacon that I think the DM borrowed from CR or a similar streaming show, I don't really keep up with them so I"m not sure what was borrowed from what.
All rogues have stolen some awesome, whether if it's just for fun or for the party, let's hear about it!
For my rogue the coolest thing he's ever stolen is a Staff of the Python from a seedy smuggler!

Creepy
I mean, I didn’t even notice until now.
“We’re losing them? What’s wrong?!”
“They- they’re missing their heart!”
”Dear pelor!”

Cool!
This makes me wonder. Are there any dnd creatures like the Briarhearts of Skyrim where if you pickpocket their heart they just die?
