My friend is running a campaign for me and some friends that will most likely end around level 16. As of now, my character, Rune, is Rogue (Scout) 4/Cleric (Knowledge) 1.
Do you guys think it would be worth it to take another level in Cleric to get channel divinity as well as another spell slot?
Cleric Level Two Benefits:
Channel Divinity - Turn Undead or Knowledge of the Ages (as an action, choose one skill or tool, for ten minutes you have proficiency with chosen skill or tool).
Harness Divine Power - As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your channel divinity to regain a spell slot (for me this would only ever be a 1st level slot) once a day.
Spells - Gain one additional spell slot and prepare one additional spell.
Rogue Level Fifteen Benefits:
Slippery Mind - Gain proficiency in Wisdom Saving Throws
Sneak Attack Increase - Sneak Attack increases to 8d6 from 7d6.
Are you talking about taking a second cleric level now or if/when you get to level 16? The benefits you have listed are comparing making the choice at level 16, but I suspect you are thinking about taking it earlier (probably at your next level up).
If you are thinking about taking it at level 16, ypoour camapaign ends at around level 16, you might find it ends at level 15, you when you get to level 16 you might know you will still have another couple of level ups. If it is your last level up you will be making the final preparations for the boss fight, most bosses at that level can do some pretty nasty things they can do to you if you fail a wis save and the extradamage is nice. If the boss has an army of undead you might want to consider Cleric 2, especially if your wisdom is high but I still think Rogue 15 is the better option.
If you take cleric 2 at level 6 you get the same benefits but miss out on Uncanny dodge and a sneak attack die, then when you get character level 7 you miss out on expertise and so on, you need to think about the whole campaign not the final character only.
Unless your campaign is very undead focused you will probably use harness divine power most of the time so you are getting 2 extra 1st level spell slots and one extra prepared spell for being a level behind on your rogue progression. There are some 1st level cleric spells that are great even in high level play, Bless is just as effective on a high level party as a low level party it is just that high level clerics don't use it because they want ot use their concentration on Spirit Guardians or Holy Aura. A 1st level healing word / cure wounds revives an unconcious allay just as well as a higher level healing spell, and if the next attack on your felled colleague is disintegrate or finger of deather it wont matter if they had received a 1st level healing word or a 4th level cure wounds.
Having said that being permantent a level behind on rogue (or 2 levels compared with a single class) is a considerable cost so unless you are the only healer I think you are better off staying with Rogue.
