I'm close to turning 4th level, and need some advice as what to do. I've got 5 ideas:
ASI of +2 Charisma. Get better at things I'm good at in general
ASI of +1 Int, +1 Wis. Pull up my lowest stats
"Skilled" feat +1 Wis, Proficient in Insight, Expertise in Persuasion. Get *really* good at a couple of things
"Two Weapon Fighting Style" feat. Get a lot more damage potential from a second weapon
"Lucky" feat. Get a lot less bad rolls.
That's too many to narrow down at it is, although I'd consider more because someone else probably has better ideas. I know the whole "magic initiate" route with extra damage spells and all of that, but most of those magic feats just don't fit with my character concept even though everyone recommends it.
I'd love to get people's take on these 5 choices. Thanks!
First I'd take a long rest (at time of writing you're on 1 hit-point 😂).
Of the five options I think they're all good except number 4) which I'd avoid personally; you don't need the fighting style to use the second weapon, and your main reason for using it is to have a second chance at using your Sneak Attack, which eclipses the damage bonus from the fighting style. It's just not worth it IMO. Also you have a special longsword so you're not eligible for two-weapon fighting if you use it anyway, you'd need the Dual Wielder feat for that, which might be a better option (lets you any one-hand weapon, and gives you +1 AC while holding them). Or was that the feat you meant?
More Charisma is rarely a bad choice on a Swashbuckler, especially since you already have +5 on Dexterity.
Since you have three odd scores I'd personally probably go for the Skill Expert (WIS) option, then take two +1's later to round out the rest. The latter part isn't critical though, I just hate having odd scores on my own characters, heh. Skill Expert is great for some added out of combat utility, and also possibly in combat if your DM lets you mess around with Sleight of Hand and such.
Out of your options 3 is the one I would choose and I just wouldn't entertain option 4.
Though for my tabaxi swashbuckler I went with Moderately Armored to get proficiency with shield, great for that +2 to your AC couple that with a cloak of Displacement.
So just the feat make you 19AC making you harder to hit and if you add the cloak all attacks on you are with disadvantage.
As a swashbuckler you are less of a stealthy rogue and more a 1 on 1 battle it out type so anything that makes you harder to hit is great.
I voted for 3, but if your party hasn't already seen Lucky enough to be sick of it, then get that. It's an amazing feat, and it's really cool and on-brand for a kittycat swashbuckler.
I mean, if nothing else that's a 95% chance to avoid a crit, three times a day. You like having 9 lives? Here, have an extra one. Getting another chance to land your sneak attack dice is gravy.
Pleased to read it and sorry I'm late to the thread but I'd say to avoid the two weapon fighting style, it isn't well written and to be honest feels very lacklustre for how many players would imagine it. Best of luck with the tabaxi's many adventures to come.

Long rest for sure! :) I got pounded the last session you can see.
Appreciate the perspective. Thank you!

Also: VERY cool name. Kudos.
Thanks! I went a little overboard with the Tabaxi naming. :)
Thanks all, Smoke is about to get Lucky!
