You also don't mention any criteria upon which "best" will be measured (most damage, most number of attacks and therefore chances to crit, highest skills, greatest number of skills, best musical instrument playing ability, or best dressed?).

What do you want to be good at?
Skill-wise, I'd have to say the Soul Knife has the edge (pun intended).
If you want the most versatility, go with Arcane Trickster and pick a bunch of utility spells.
"Best' is too subjective and party-dependent, and without more context, it would be hard to tell you which build to go with.
