Speed boosting gear is pretty rare. Unless you are a centaur and spring for some Horseshoes of Speed. (As a DM, I would not allow those on a PC. 60 base move with no charges/time limits/etc?)
Boots of Striding and Springing are great for shorter rogues to get their base speed up to 30. Boots of speed, of course, are ridic. I love speed, so speed boosting items always get homebrewed in my adventures. Seeing 5e have several paths forward for speedier characters is pretty cool. Haste scrolls/etc are also great if you're prepped for a big encounter. But Mobile is just so great for always on speed.
Can't argue with that Scrubbo - Mobile is a good, especially if you run around the battlefield taking swipes at enemies as you pass. Perhaps you can homebrew a special ability for your character that they can do once per long rest? Like Jerry Crawford does in The C Team?
My game has taken a turn recently - my DM has said he'll accept Acrobatics instead of Athletics for climbing, etc. Due to my STR 12 and Expertise in Athletics, I asked if I can swap this around as I specifically took it for climbing (which he agreed to).
My ability score has gone from STR 12, DEX 19, CON 10, INT 8, WIS 14, and CHA 8, to STR 8, DEX 19, CON 12, INT 8, WIS 14, and CHA 10. I've also taken Intimidation instead of Athletics, and Expertise in Perception. Feat build is probably going to be the same, but I'll take Expertise in Acrobatics and Intimidation at Lvl 6 now.
I'm currently playing Tomb of Annihilation and I'm playing a grung scout and so I can poison my weapons and jump from tree to tree shooting people with his bow. I think a sharpshooter-sulker combo would but I would consider recommendations.

Well met, strangers! I’m Kwilgok-once a dinosaur racer, now the best guide in Port Nyanzaru. I’ve traveled up the River Soshenstar to the Aldani Basin and back. I’ve visited so many corners of Chult and can tell you there’s no land more beautiful and dangerous. This is my ankylosaurus, Deadly Treasure. Quite a prize isn’t she? Follows me everywhere. We cost 6 gold pieces a day, with payment for 30 days upfront. Very expensive, yes, but worth it, I promise you.

Ooo, I like that intuitive use of Insight to see how best to negotiate with someone and come to an agreeable arrangement.
Thanks! I hope my build works out well. Can you can any kind of spells or magic items to boost your speed Scrubbo?
Sorry Goofball, I wrote my CHA incorrectly in my original post (now edited) - it's actually 8!
Defensive Dualist is more for a melee PC rather than my ranged PC - I need my reaction for the Skirmisher ability.
