So I was making a character who was rogue and sorcerer the sorcery spells were less focused on actual damage and more on delving into the shadows. Hed be a rouge 3 assassin and a Sorc 17 with the shadow magic sorceress origin. But I was thinking of raising his rouge to make the sneak attack damage go up, anyone have any input?
I just did a quick analysis of what the damage output would be for using shadow blade and sneak attack. It works out that the max damage for that setup at level 20 is Rogue 15/Sorc 5. That gets you 8 sneak attack dice and 3 shadow blade dice. It doesn't really take into account anything else. Just shadow blade and sneak attack damage. Obviously there are a lot of good spells you're giving up for not taking more levels in Sorcerer and you're missing out on some late level rogue stuff too. I think it would be a pretty cool character though.
Alright cool I have it the other way around because according to my gm, if someone were to tie a rope to an arrow and shoot it into a wall, hed count that as a big enough shadow for him to shadow walk into, or use darkness combined with distant and subtle meta magic then shadow walk into that for a sneak attack
