Ok, so based on the title, I bet you can guess that my idea is a bit... lets say out of the box.
For context, im building a shadow magic sorcerer, and im trying to figure out how he got his magic, I had a idea about him already having magic, but he unleashed a monster who corrupted my characters magic and thats why its shadow magic.
Going along with this idea, I started researching the shadowfell to find a viable monster to corrupt my magic. However, as I was hunting around, I found a article that explained some stuff about the shadowfell, and I learned about the plane of shadow. In the plane of shadow, I learned that everything in the material plane has a reflection in the plane of shadow, and then I had a new idea.
Instead of corrupting my characters magic, what if the monster placed my reflection in my body, and thats where my magic comes from? (think of it like a talion/celebrimbor situation from the game shadow of war)
My question, is any of this even possible, and is there even a creature in the shadowfell capable of pulling off this strange stunt?
I should mention, the creature who gives me my magic also needs to be quite homicidal to complete my backstory (the character is going to be a bit stereotypical in the "my whole family is dead* thing)

The Raven Queen is suspected to be the actual patron of Hexblades. You'll get along great with her. I hear she likes emotions, so make sure to bring her some to snack on.
My character isn't the homicidal one, its the creature that killed his family.
Plot twist for you... He only thinks it was the creature that killed his family. That's the way his mind processes the guilt and such of going out of control and causing their deaths.
The ShadowFel in many ways already is the plane of shadow. Just evolved a bit (and both technically evolved from something else). It's possible he did something inadvertently and exposed himself to the ShadowFel/Plane of Shadow which had an uncontrolled effect on him and changed his magic. Now he sees signs of what he interprets as a monster because he can't reconcile or acknowledge in himself that it was him that did those things So he's after this Shadowy Antagonist he can never quite make out and always seems to slip away not understanding that it's all just part of himself.
It's kind of a cliche story beat but it's a long standing and effective one.

Certainly there is - the Raven Queen. You know, the lady who owns the Shadowfell, the lady who made the Shadowfell.
But if she took a personal interest in you, things are unlikely to go well for you. She's the craziest lunatic in that entire plane.

Maybe you got swapped with your shadowfel form
And that’s why you’re hommicidal
