IDK if it would be broken or overpowered but I wonder if having a metamagic option that lets you concentrate on two spells would be viable and fair, there does need to be a drawback and risk involved to this ofcourse I was thinking that the duration of the concentration spells would be cut in half when you use this metamagic, that it would require a high sorcery point cost to do so and that you need to roll a con save to see if you recieve a level of exhaustion at the end of the duration or when you dismiss it.
Example:
You are a Divine Soul Sorcerer who cast Spirit Shroud(duration of 1 minute) and you spend X amount of sorcery points for the spell levels to dual concentrate with Haste (duration 1 minute), the duration of both spells become half at 30 seconds/5 rounds.
I agree with Lyxen, concentration on 2 different spells would make the sorcerer outshine any other spellcasting class. In a way the sorcerer can already kind of do this through Twinned Spell and that is already very powerful. The combos you can pull off with 2 concentration spells should be left to 2 separate casters working together.
Dual concentration might be a bit much, but I wonder about something like "spend two sorcery points to have advantage on concentration checks for the spell"? Basically single spell War Caster without the feat investment, so you could throw some points at a spell that you know your enemy might actively try to interrupt, or something that puts you in more danger of being hit, such as Shadow Blade?

The Eldritch Mind invocation as a metamagic would be fine.
Double concentration is actually specifically mentioned as something to avoid in on of the rule books (DMG i think?)
Just in terms of action economy a casters concentration is a big part of what they do. Concentration spells can do passive damage every round so it can essentially give you a major boost to your output for an entire combat.
When you cast a spell that requires concentration, you can spend 2 sorcerery points to gain advantage on saves and checks to maintain your concentration for this spell.

That makes sense.

not a bad idea.

yeah but you'd still need to invest 2 levels into warlock or eldritch adept feat to get that, at that point its the same as picking up warcaster.
It would be really easy to abuse.
