I made a drow sorceress, but I have a question about the spells I get as divine soul. My character was selectively bred by superior drow, to see if any drow could accept Lolths blood into their body. My character survived the transformation and became a divine soul sorcerer. After discovering her powers she hated them and ran away from the underdark to find a way to get rid of them. Her alignment is neutral good btw
As divine soul are the spells you get based off of your alignment or the alignment of the divine source, because Lolths powers in my mind are chaotic evil, so I selected those spells.
Can I still have those spells even though my alignment isn’t chaotic evil?
The description says "In addition, choose an affinity for the source of your divine power: good, evil, law, chaos, or neutrality. You learn an additional spell based on that affinity, as shown below"
While you are free to choose any affinity I agree it makes sense to chose one appropriate to the source of your magic in this case you either bane (choose chaotic as your affinity) or protection from evil and good (evil)
Makes sense actually, my divine soul sorc is TN but since he is from an evil society...the spark probably comes from an evil and in this case lawful diety. I went with neutral though. Too late now.

You only get to choose one spell

Oh ok! Thanks!

So you think it makes sense to have a spell different than your alignment?
If you have identified the god it comes from (in my case, I haven't), yes. I went my with alignment.
