or shall I take barbarian and shadow sorcerer at level 2 if this way feat will be resilience cha and Human variant will Be str and Dex
At level 3 take shadow sorcerer
At level 4 take barbarian
At level 5 take shadow sorcerer
at level 6 take paladin
at level 7-20 take shadow sorcerer
ability improvement take cha up to 20
then take dex and con up to 16
take feats for the remaining
i know barbarian probably not good for sorcerer as it can’t cast spell while raging. But I am thinking I am only ever using that when I ran out of spells thus needing the ability to half damage. Also I am thinking to take 2 levels of barbarian simply for the HP and HD and also the ability to get unarmoured defense which provides a defence AC. Just wonder whether this makes sense or I should simply drop barbarian and go with 3 levels of paladin?
My personal take is to go with 1-3 levels of paladin or 1-3 levels of hexblade warlock. Hexblade matches the flavor of the shadow sorcerer pretty well for me and also removes the need to invest in strength, so even without heavy armor that's probably the way I'd go.
Three levels of paladin works as well, however, if you're specifically looking for the paladin flavor for this character. I'd recommend that over barbarian.
I would go Warlock as well, I have a Shadow Sorcerer as well. I am thinking of going either great old one or the undying patron for the Goth/Emo fit. I was thinking of Pact of the Chain with either a Imp or if I can a Gazer familiar.
