We've just reached 6th level in our adventure. I'm playing an Abberant Mind sorcerer and having some trouble deciding on the exact spells to keep. This is what I currently have:
Cantrips: Fire Bolt, Chill Touch, Mage Hand, Minor Illusion, Prestidigitation, Mind Sliver
3rd: Hypnotic Pattern, Counterspell, Hunger of Hadar*, Sending*
What I'm debating is whether I should replace Hypnotic Pattern for Slow orInvisibility for Dispel Magic. I might be worrying too much about the prevalence of charm-immune enemies, but I really appreciate that Slow can be used on a wider variety of creatures, even if the effect is a bit weaker. There have already been instances where Dispel Magic would have been a lifesaver in this adventure, and I want to cram it onto my spell list badly. The adventure has involved a lot of casters and undead so far. Our party is built in such a way that I'm not relied upon for damage, but for utility and control. We also have an Artificer who can cast Invisibility sometimes.
Hello,
We've just reached 6th level in our adventure. I'm playing an Abberant Mind sorcerer and having some trouble deciding on the exact spells to keep. This is what I currently have:
Cantrips: Fire Bolt, Chill Touch, Mage Hand, Minor Illusion, Prestidigitation, Mind Sliver
1st: Absorb Elements, Shield, Tasha's Hideous Laughter*, Dissonant Whispers*
2nd: Misty Step, Invisibility, Suggestion*, Detect Thoughts*
3rd: Hypnotic Pattern, Counterspell, Hunger of Hadar*, Sending*
What I'm debating is whether I should replace Hypnotic Pattern for Slow or Invisibility for Dispel Magic. We also have an Artificer who can cast Invisibility sometimes.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

What Metamagic do you have?
It sounds like Dispel Magic is the spell you have the most interest in. If you make any swaps then go for that one.
Dropping Invisibility probably makes the most sense. I would also consider dropping Absorb Elements.
