So - trying to homebrew a Runechild subclass for my player, and I was curious if anyone who owns the Tal'Dorei content would be able to (if allowed) post screenshots or describe how the features look? Specifically, I'm curious how the official sheets deal with the essence runes, them being charged, etc. I was curious if they're set up as boxes to check on or off depending on how many there are charged and how this changes when the PC is leveled up.
Thanks in advance - will probably cross post in the homebrew forum in case this is more appropriate there.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to post an image, but yes you hit the nail on the head. They are just checkboxes the can be ticked on or off depending on how many runes are charged vs. inert. They scale with level automatically, so my level 5 sorcerer has 5 boxes. Unfortunately, this subclass requires quite a bit of pen and paper manual work outside of DnD Beyond, specifically with regard to the runic magic. They still haven't made it compatible with the new sorcerer base class either, so I'm excited to see what you're able to do!
