In looking at sorcerer's spell list, I noticed that there is a lack of class specific spells as well as spell that would have been in the sorcerer's wheelhouse, but are not on the list.
Do you think additional spells (possibly added directly to spells known) that are sorcerer specific add to improving the sorcerer class identity?
The sorcerer identity is currently tied to metamagic and archetype. I think that the best way to go about it would be to provide expanded spell lists based on origin. Maybe something like 10 additional spells, from which the sorcerer gets to pick a few for free.
As for unique sorcerer spells I don't know. It makes sense that the sorcerer doesn't have access to some of the more intellectual wizard spells, but I think the class as a whole could use more spells on the list, maybe from the bard, cleric, or druid lists. With their instinctive source of magic I'm not convinced they should get completely unique spells.
