The description of this feature states that you can replace the spell you gain with another from the cleric spell list. Is there a way to do this mechanically on the character sheet? I have been playing around with the sheet and cannot seem to change the spell at all.
I'm not seeing what's broken. If I go into my Divine Soul character to select a new spell, both Sorc and Cleric spell of the appropriate level are there to select. I've compared the list to the non-DS Sorc spell list and it's pretty obvious that there's a lot more spells to choose from. If it's a spell both classes can learn it shows up twice, allowing you to choose the "source" of the spell, I guess. It has been this way since I started playing this character about 3 months ago.
Mechanically, if you wanted to replace a Sorcerer spell with a Cleric spell you would just go to Edit Character or Manage Levels, deselect a known Sorc spell and select a replacement Cleric spell.
We're talking about the free spell granted by the feature (for example cure wounds if you chose good). You are supposed to be able to change that spell when you level up as well.
Ah, yep, you're totally right. I was thinking they meant the rules for changing dowels in the first paragraph of Divine Magic. Thanks for the correction.
This actually made me think of another question. I'd your select a Cleric spell other than the assigned one, does it still not count against your spell count?
Yes, sorry about that, new here! Meanwhile I succeeded in obtaining Divine Soul by buying it independently vor €1,99. Great that this service is offered! Thanks for your reply!
I tried to do this (make a home brew copy of the subclass), but even copying the subclass exactly removed access to the entire cleric spell list from my character. Am I missing something?

No, it is a missing feature. You make a homebrew copy that lets you change the spell as a work around.
I wish they would fix the character builder for this because I play off my tablet and random bugs like this are annoying

It does not.
But first things first: How can I select the Sorcerous Origin "Divine Soul"?
The Divine Soul sorcerous origin can be found in Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which must first be purchased for you to access it.
Additionally, it's generally recommended you don't reply to threads that have been inactive for almost a year
