Hey guys, I am working on a Dragonborn Sorcerer/Bard multiclass for the new Exandria setting. I plan on focusing mostly on Sorcerer but I was hoping for advice on how many levels I should consider leveling in Bard.
EDIT: I realized it would probably be helpful if I gave a bit more detail on my character's concept. He is a White Dracoblood Dragonborn but his sorcerer Dragonblood is gold. This has created a conflict between his white and gold elements that sometimes results in explosive reactions of Fire/Heat or Cold/Ice. He is adventuring to find a solution to his conflicting dual natures. The Bard levels represent magician's training to help him control his magic.
I would recommend keeping the Bard levels lower to keep up your higher level spells known and sorcery points.
My favorite splits are sorcerer X + bard 1 and bard 3, with bard 6 as a distant third. The first and third levels of bard give you a lot of bang for your buck without sacrificing too much from sorcerer.
I am planing to go at least Bard 3 to get the College of Lore. I just am not sure of the pros/cons of going further into bard aside from not getting 8th to 10th level spells.
