Race – Variant Human – Magic Initiate (Sorcerer) – Mage Hand, Prestidigitation, Absorb Elements
Background – Guild Artisan (Jeweler) – Can go into planned background story if desired
Metamagic – Subtle, Quicken, Twin (10), Unerring Spell? (17)
ASI/Feats – Max Cha, Elemental Adept (Cold), War Caster, Spell Sniper? Metamagic Adept?
Spells – Thematic for cold and mental control (hence subtle metamagic)
Cantrips – Frostbite, Mending (crafter), Ray of Frost, Shape Water – Mind Sliver (4), ? (10)
Level 1 – Chromatic Orb, Ice Knife => Upgraded to Cone of Cold at 9+. Shield
Level 2 – Misty Step, Hold Person
Level 3 – Slow (cold theme), Counterspell (mental control)
Level 4 – (lvl 2) Suggestion, (lvl 2) Levitate => Telekinesis 9+
Level 5 – Animate Objects, Hold Monster
Level 6 – Mass Suggestion
Level 7 – Teleport
Level 8 – (lvl 6) Disintegrate
Level 9 - WIsh
Concentration Spells
Battle Control (only one at a time) - Slow (group of enemies), Hold Person/Monster (single)
Battle Damage - Animate Objects
Social / Out of Combat - Levitate/Telekinesis (Wish I could have both), Suggestion
Concerns
Disintegrate does not seem to fit super well, but felt I needed a higher level damage spell.
Too much diversity
Too many level 5 spells
Wish could add magic missile (maybe find a wand), alter self, snilloc's snowball storm, dimension door, ice storm, scatter
