Hey gang. L3 Tomelock, support role, share the face role.
Planning to take Fey Touched at 4 for Bless/Misty Step, but ALSO I have 13 INT and I pretty much despise odd scores.
What are your general thoughts about evening off an odd score that isn't your primary 'power' score? Right now I feel like the idea really suits my role and flavor but I'm like 25% unsure and just thought ya'll probably have some more experience.
Thanks :)
More context:
Witchlight campaign specifically started so the DM who otherwise plays with young teens can run a less combat-focused campaign.
I'm a sailor with librarian parents so I know some Religion and Arcana and I tend to be curious and communicative, as a hypervigilant halfling.
Since you have two knowledge based skills it's fine. Warlocks can sometimes work off the search for forbidden knowledge so intelligence is great. Also intelligence is a nice save to have boosted by +1 due to how common mind flayers are. In general, its always OK to make decisions based on character reasons. Don't worry about min/maxing if you have character reasons.
Thanks to Bounded Accuracy and Proficiency Bonus progression, you don't have to max out your main Ability Scores. Will you be less optimized? Yes, without a doubt. Will you feel that? Probably, but likely not enough times you'd miss by 1 to feel like it was a mistake to increase your other score in the sake of defining your character and party role.
Besides, there's 4 more ASIs for you to increase your Charisma, anyways, so you'll even out in the long run (assuming your campaign makes it to 20th level...which is a big assumption, lol, but I've played in 2 campaigns that lasted that long so it's completely possible).

What you're doing makes sense. I think increasing your Intelligence is a good idea.

Assuming you have an even number on charisma, I would use it to plus up intelligence.
The only way I would not do this is if I planned to take another half-feat at 8th level. If I planned to do that I would boost Charisma.
