I'm Going back and forth as to which is better on a blaster Undying Warlock 5/Shadow Sorcerer 1.
MAddening Hex would boost her damage a bit, when she is using hex. But I am worried about bonus action economy and giving up concentrating on something better.
She has to use hex and that means she already has bonus actions tied up casting and moving Hex so it is not going to be every round she gets this. She is also a Chainlock with a Sprite familiar and investment of the Chain Master, so she can also user her bonus action to have her sprite attack. She also has metamagic adept with quicken spell, which will eat a bonus action a day usually. Finally concentrating on Hex means she can't concentrate on something better like Fear or Summon Undead.
Note the spell slot for Hex is not a big deal because I have 2 Sorc 1st level slots and a free cast on Hex from Fey touched. It is only the bonus action economy and concentration limitations I am worried about.
Tomb of Levistus would seem nice to have if she took a ton of damage (albeit with a high price to pay). She already has Strength of the Grave from Sorcerer and will have Death Ward from warlock at level 7. When she does go to 0 she has defy death to get back up.
The combination of all these four things could make her very hard to kill.
My suggestion is to take neither. I found Maddening Hex had some setup, and for the free damage per turn it wasn't worth the investment and tying up your bonus action. Tomb of Levistus sounds like a good "get out of jail free card", but given combats don't last all that long at most tables, and you are 100% out of commission for a round after using it; I'd pass.
You know what would make a ton of sense for your warlock; Gift of the Ever Living Ones. Leverages your familiar, has no sunk in cost beyond the invocation, and healing is going to happen regularly enough to get the beenefit.
Tomb fo levistus is bad. Maddening Hex will give you a bit more damage while you have the hex going, but it's nothing to freak out about. For a blaster, it's best to buff the Eldritch blast. If you already have Agonizing Blast (which I assume you do), and Repelling Blast / Grasp of Hadar, I'd go for Voice of the Chain Master. That will give your familiar more utility, and make you a better scout (by being able to communicate telepathically with him, and perceive through his senses).

^^ this is how I feel about it. I don't like either of those invocations.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

I second gift of the ever loving ones. Neither maddening hex or tomb of levistus are all that impactful.
