So i wanted to play a caster that isnt a Warlock, hear me out.
I wanted to be a Variant Human Sorcerer with the Feat "Spell Sniper", picking the Eldritch Blast Cantrip for its option as my racial Feat. Then at level 4, take the Feat "Eldritch Adept". I wanted to take the Agonizing Blast option, however, DnDBeyond does not show it as an option. I tried to read the spells/feats and i do not see anything, at least that i noticed, that prevents me from doing so.
Any insight or opinions are welcome.
And for the record, I do NOT want to dip into Warlock.
if you are not a warlock you cannot take an invocation with a prerequisite (even if you meet it) with eldritch adept. Ag Blast has the prereq of Eldritch Blast so you cannot take it. I would talk to your DM and see if they are OK with it, but by RAW you cannot.
" If the invocation has a prerequisite of any kind, you can choose that invocation only if you’re a warlock who meets the prerequisite."
