As implied by the title, it sounds like (according to the Dungeon Dudes), not only will Forcecage require concentration, but it will consume its’ components to use.
So my question is do mystic arcanum function the same as spells regarding things like spell components?
Assuming mystic arcanum works the same way, then yes, you will need to provide the component. It says you can cast it once without a spell slot, but that’s all. So all other standard requirements would apply.
But until Tuesday when we actually have the rules in front of us, it’s hard to say for sure.
It's not just your notification, mine don't work either. I think they made a change. I've been too lazy to look if there's a new setting to re-enable it though to tell if this is a bug or a feature.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
It appears to be broken, not a deliberate change. My guess is the same glitch that set some people's last-accessed time to the future also messed up the notification service, but that's just a guess.
Given that they're probably in crunch mode trying to get the change in plans on the new PHB rollout ready by Tuesday, I'm not expecting it to be a high priority until then.
Hello everyone! 200th post here on DnD Beyond!
Thanks you for being so welcoming, as always!

Understood. Thank you!
I’m glad I checked my post because my notifications seemed to have stopped working after Aug 25. Weird.

I see. I don’t believe I was ever notified of such a change, but I could be mistaken.

Understood. Makes sense I guess.
Thanks for letting all of us know!
