I’m not even sure if I’m allowed to do this or not, but apparently everyone gained access to new or remade things like feats, and this is no exception. So naturally I want to make the most of the opportunity to use it.
Besides expanding a stat beyond 20, Boon of the Night Spirit gives you bonus action invisibility and resistance to most damage types in dim light and darkness. This seems ideal for warlocks with access to darkness and devil’s sight. Even Crown of Stars can activate this once you have used the first four times, as it then emits dim light.
If you are familiar with my previous build and comments you know I ran a maxed constitution with the tough feat to make the most out of the Celestial Warlock’s Searing Vengeance ability. Of course, Charisma is important too. So, my initial build was Fey Touched, +2 Cha, Tough, +2 Con and +2 Con. Eventually I hope the promised feature of choosing Origin Feats with old backgrounds will go live so I can get Tough that way. Until then, I have dropped it from my ASI/Feats and reorganized them to get Boon of the Night Spirit at level 19.
i guess my big question first of all is whether or not it is ok to use this ability with my classic build.
Beyond that, should I have kept the tough feat for more HP and left my Con at 18?
Lastly, If I stayed with a 20 Con up to level 19, should I have used this new ability to push my Con to 21 and beyond instead of my Cha to better make use of Searing Vengeance?
